About Blanchard Elementary

 
Blanchard is a school embedded in a neighborhood setting in the city of Columbus, Georgia.  Columbus is a city located south of Atlanta on the banks of the Chattahoochee River in West Central Georgia.  On the south side of the city lies Fort Benning, the Home of the Infantry for the United States Army.  Columbus is home to the headquarters of AFLAC, Synovus and Carmike Cinemas among others.  The city has a strong economy that continues to grow due to the Army's Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) activities.  Fort Benning is seeing tremendous growth in personnel and construction.

Blanchard is one of 34 elementary schools within the Muscogee County School District.  Muscogee County currently has approximately 33,000 students while Blanchard has approximately 590 students this year in Pre-K through 5th grade.
