I'm looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year! This will be my second
year teaching fourth grade although, I have been teaching for 18 years. Most
of my career has been spent in the second grade. However, I did teach two
years of kindergarten and two years of EIP second and third grades. I know
this will be wonderful learning experience for both your child and myself.
My educational background includes a BBA in accounting; with a minor in
Criminal Justice and Business. I returned to Columbus State where I received
my Certificate in early education. After obtaining my certification I
immediately being working towards and received my Masters and a Specialist
Degree in Elementary Education.
My family and I are BIG Georgia Bulldog fans. I have a wonderful husband of
27 years who is supportive and encourages me daily. We have a precious 10
year old daughter who is a fourth grader at St. Luke Elementary School.
She is a wonderful little girl who enjoys everything around her. We also
have a son who attended the University of Georgia until December 11, 2009, he
was scheduled to graduate May of 2010, but was taken to heaven at the age of
21. He was accepted into, and would have graduated from, the Terry College
of Business at UGA. The University of Georgia presented his degree from UGA
and the Terry College of Business in May of 2010.
Please hug and kiss your child every night!
As a family we enjoy playing golf, watching Georgia Football and movie
nights. We enjoy trips to the beach, even in the cooler months, and spending
time with family and friends. We also have a cat,who is quite unique but we
wouldn't trade her for anything. Other members of our family are our three
dogs; Shilo - about 17 years old, Boozie - about 5 years old and a puppy,
Belle Sara, 2 years old.
I am looking forward to a great year and moving forward as an IB school.
