Will my child need a book bag?

Your child will need a full size backpack. Have your child �test drive� his 
or her backpack, he or she will need to be able to fasten it and unpack it 
all by him or herself.  Be sure to remind your child if you put something in 
his/her backpack because I do not check book bags!  Book bags will come back 
and forth to school daily.

How do I pay for lunch?

Lunch tickets are sold for $8.00 per week.   Be sure to put your child�s 
name 
on the check.  Checks should be made out to Cheatham Hill and cannot be 
combined with other payments such as field trips or ASP. 
You may send in cash or check with your child in the morning.  You may also 
set up an online paying system.

How do I pay for After School Program?

It is a pre-paid program and you may send the money with your child in the 
morning.  Payment for A.S.P is to be separate from any other accounts.

How late can my child stay in the After School Program?

Do you have snack?

Yes, we have a class snack.  You will bring in snack about once a month.  
You 
need to bring in enough for the entire class.  We now have 15 students 
please make a note of this.  Thank you.

How do I make changes in my child's means of transportation?

It must be in writing.  You will simply send a note to me in the morning 
indicating the change in your child's transportation.

Is there a rest time?

Yes, in the beginning of the year we will lie down for about 20 minutes in 
the afternoon.

What should be worn for P.E.?

The children will need sneakers.  Girls in dresses should wear shorts 
underneath.  Playground shoes will be needed daily as we go outside to play 
daily weather permitting.

What is the daily folder?

I way to communicate daily with you.  It contains homework, notes that need 
to be returned and finished work.  The cover contains a quick communication 
as to how your child behaved that day.

Can my child bring a favorite toy?

Toys become a distraction to the school environment.  It is best to leave 
toys at home.

May I visit during the school day?

You are always welcome to come in and lend a hand. The school policy 
however, 
requires that parents sign in at the office when visiting the school.  This 
policy is for your child�s safety.  It also eliminates unnecessary 
interruptions in the classroom.  A visitor�s badge will be provided for you 
in the office.
