Greetings! My name is Julie Stone, and I'm your child's fourth grade teacher
this school year. I graduated summa cum laude from Kennesaw State
University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Last year, I graduated summa cum laude from Troy University with a Master's
in Elementary Education. Currently, I am in school for a Specialist in
Education degree.
This is my eighth year teaching at Cheatham Hill Elementary, and last
year I had the honor to have been chosen Teacher of the Year. Teaching is my
passion, and I knew I wanted to teach in some capacity since I was your
child's age. Now my dream is a reality, and I love it! I am a native of Cobb
County, and have received my education through our stellar school system.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and
fiance, Matt. Some other things I like to do in my spare time are:
traveling, exercising, reading, seeing movies, interior decorating,
shopping and listening to (and attempting to sing) all types of music. :)
I highly anticipate having your child in my class. This will be a
wonderful year, and I'm looking forward to working with you!
My mission is to provide an environment conducive to learning that will
promote social, emotional and academic growth. All children have the ability
to learn, and I am here to help them reach their potential in a supportive,
hands-on, minds-on environment.
