Dear Parents and Students,

I would like to thank you all for a wonderful school year and for all of the wonderful gifts I received during Teacher Appreciation Week!  I hope you all have an amazing summer and I wish you all the best!

The kids wrote down what is expected of them this summer.  If they are able to accomplish all of the assignments, they will be better prepared for the fourth grade.  During the summer, some students regress, therefore to keep that from happening it is important to keep their minds working. Students should read at least 4 fiction books and 4 nonfiction books of their choice; they can use Tumblebooks or Tumblereadables websites. They should also practice all of the Third Grade skills on the IXL website. Furthermore, students should also make sure they practice their multiplication and division, as in the beginning of their fourth grade year they will be expected to master 100 problems in 5 minutes. I also sent home a reading and a writing packet students can work on each week.

I would love to keep in touch with my students even though I’m moving to Florida, so my email address isperlamaritza@bellsouth.net. I can’t wait to hear about all of their accomplishments throughout the years!

Once again, have a great summer!

Regards,

Perla Lape
