This year will be my 6th year teaching at Cheatham Hill. I have been a
part
of the Cheatham Hill family for 7 years because I spent my TOSS and student
teaching learning experiences here. I love "The Hill" so much that I
couldn't
leave. We have the best administrators, teachers, families, students, and
PTA!
Why leave?
I graduated from Kennesaw State University. I received my
Master's degree from Walden university and am currently pursuing my
Specialist's degree from Lincoln Memorial!
When I am not teaching I love to spend time with my family. My son, Ethan,
was born on September 22, 2011 so needless to say I have been very busy.
When I am not taking care of him, I am usually working on projects around the
house and trying to stay on top of my graduate studies. TV and Facebook are
now a thing in the past for me. If I can find time to catch up with family
members and friends, I am lucky.
A guy teacher? I'm one of the very rare male teachers in early childhood.
Don't worry, I love what I do and wouldn't trade it for anything. I have
always managed to form a great teacher-student bond, even with the most
unlikely of students. It is my goal to form a trust, and keep a cozy,
welcoming feel in the classroom. There is no place for uncomfortable
children in the classroom. All children have the right to learn in a safe
environment.
