About me
I am married to Brian Anderson. We have two wonderful children – Douglas, a
10th grader and Sarah Whitney an 8th grader.
My Educational Background
I graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, SC, in 1988 with a degree in
Special Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education.
My Teaching Experience
After receiving my degree, marrying Brian, and moving to Texas, I taught
special education for two years in the Texas public school system. After
taking a few years away from teaching to raise my children, I returned to
teaching in 2002. This is my second year teaching kindergarten at CHS.
Previously I taught the 4 year old class for two years and the Readiness
class for two years at Dalton First United Methodist Church Preschool.
My mission for our class is to encourage and develop a love for learning in
a positive christian atmosphere. We will also build self confidence as
learners as we begin our academic journey.
