About The Teacher

    I want to give you a little information about myself, since I will be 
spending a lot of time with your child.
    I became a Christian at the age of seven.  I felt the Lord tugging at my 
heart one night during a revival. I went down that evening and asked the 
Lord 
to come into my heart.  I've always thought that childhood conversion 
stories 
were not very interesting.  No one would want to hear my story because it is 
so "boring".  Now, the more I think about it.  I realize what a story it is 
of God's grace and mercy.  I didn't haven't to wait a long time or get 
myself 
into some horrible situation to understand God's love, mercy, grace, and my 
need for Him in my life.  He has spared me of so many things.  I rejoice in 
my coming to know Him at such a young age.
      I was born and raised in Calhoun, but I have lived in Dalton for the 
past 15 years.  I moved to Dalton when I married my husband, Hank, back in 
June 1994.  We do not have children, but we do share our home with three 
adorable and spoiled cats.
      This will be my twelfth year at Christian Heritage School.  CHS has 
been 
such an exciting place to teach.  I wasn't here when it all began, but I 
have 
seen so much happen in the life of this school.  Since I have been at CHS, I 
have seen our gym, technology wing, high school wing, middle school wing, 
and 
now our sports complex being built.  I have seen our faculty, staff, and 
student body expand. God is doing wonderous works for CHS, and I feel very 
blessed to be a part of it all.
