During the month of October our theme will be "Trees". In Science the
class will be studying the marvelous creation of trees. We will be
memorizing the poem "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer and doing a unit on poetry in
reading and language. Our Bible lessons will come from the book of Psalms,
including the memorization of Psalm 1. We want to be "like a tree, firmly
planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season..." At the end
of the month, we will be planting a class tree here on the campus and taking
a tree hike with the Forest Service on Fort Mountain. Be watching for the
beauty of God's fabulous creation, trees, as we move through this wonderful
month of October.
