Discipline Plan

On the first day of school and several days after our classroom rules are reviewed and discussed.  We discuss why each rule is important for our class and the consequences of not following the rules.

RULES

  1. Listen carefully.
  2. Follow directions.
  3. Work quietly.  Do not disturb others who are working.
  4. Respect others.  Be kind with your words and actions.
  5. Respect school and personal property.
  6. Work and play safely.

Consequences

If a rule is not being followed, a verbal warning is given with an explanation of which rule is being broken and the expectation of    change to new attitude and behavior.

If behavior is continued a consequence occurs.  This usually is a time out.  If it is disturbing another student, a separation from that student is required.

If disruptive behavior continues, parents will be called and a plan devised to provide discipline.

Continued disruptive behavior results in a visit to the principal’s office.

Any violent, physical behavior against a student is immediately dealt with by sending the offender to the principal.
