Mrs. Gunn graduated from Dalton High School in 1984, pursued a degree in
Music Education for two years then graduated from Belmont College in
Nashville, Tennessee in 1988 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In
1989 she began a teaching career at Varnell Elementary School in Varnell,
Georgia, where she taught for 8 years, with experience in 2nd, 3rd and 4th
grades. In 1990 she married Patrick Gunn and started her Masters in
education but did not complete the degree. After the birth of their 2nd
child, Mrs. Gunn and her husband decided she should spend the next 8 years
at home to raise their children. The Gunns have 3 children, Matthew, 15,
Riley, 12, and Molly Anne, 9.
The Gunn Family are members at Fellowship Bible Church in Dalton. Mrs. Gunn
feels very blessed to have the opportunity for her children to attend CHS
and to teach your children at CHS.
