Cornerstone’s Plan for the School Year 2009-2010
Gymnasium
The gymnasium will be completed this school year. Details are being worked on with the county.
Jr. High Building
The Jr. High building will not be ready until the 2010-2011 school year, due to all the delays we have had on the gymnasium.
9th Grade
We will host a ninth grade class next year and it is our plan that these students will be the first to graduate from Cornerstone High School.
10th Grade through 12th Grade
We are currently working on completing our 10th through 12th grade accreditation. We do not expect any issues regarding the completion of our accreditation.
Cornerstone will offer AP classes beginning in 10th grade. We are currently working on the set up for these courses.
Where will we put everyone?
We will be able to accommodate everyone next year by rearranging some physical space:

In building C, the current computer lab and library will be used for classrooms for the Jr. High.

Building B and building C libraries will be consolidated and moved to the (current) music area.

Music will be relocated to the music room facilities in the NEW gymnasium.
Building Functions
Lockers will be put into ‘Building C Dining Room’ for use by the 7th through 9th graders.

We are very excited to announce that Cornerstone Schools has just finalized the purchase of 14 acres of land for the high school building, the final phase of our campus. The property is directly behind us on Shady Grove road. When totally complete the campus will include the preschool building (A), the two elementary buildings (B&C), the jr. high building (D), gymnasium/auditorium building (yet to be named) and a high school building (E). The campus is a total of 30 acres.
