Boys and Girls,
Here is the recipe for the Mexican Roll Ups that you asked for. I use all 7
ingredients listed below, but you can add or take away the ingredients in
this recipe. Be creative. Let me know if you change this recipe around a
little bit and I might try your idea the next time I make this.
Mexican Roll Ups
Ingredients:
-10 flour tortillas
-3 packs of cream cheese
-1 cup of salsa
-1/4 cup of sour cream (optional)
-a dash of garlic salt (optional)
-a dash of pepper (optional)
-a small can of chopped green chilis (optional)
Directions
1. Wash your hands!
2. Take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator and let it warm up to room
temperature. You may need to ask your parents to zap it in the microwave for
a few seconds.
3. Mix the cream cheese, salsa, sour cream, garlic salt, pepper, and chilis
in a large bowl. It will look kind of pink and gross, but it is really good.
4. Pour about 3 heaping tablespoons of the mixture on a flour tortilla.
Roll it up like a burrito. Watch out because this can get messy. Do this for
each of the 10 tortillas.
5. Place all 10 of the tortillas that have the mixture in them on a plate or
in a pan.
6. Put them in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours. I usually
leave them in the refrigerator overnight before I cut and eat them.
7. Ask your parents to help you cut the rolled up tortillas into bite sized
pieces about 1/2 inch thick.
8. Eat and enjoy! :)
