Ideas to Practice Popcorn Words:
1. write them in shaving cream
2. make play dough letters to form words
3. rubber band several markers or crayons together to write rainbow words
4. write them with smelly markers or glitter crayons
5. find and hilight them in the newspaper or in magazines
6. make 2 sets of cards and play memory or concentration
7. make a bingo card with words and play using skittles, m & m's, or
seasonal markers such as candy corn in the fall or jelly beans in
the spring
8. tape words to a wall and use a flashlight to "spotlight" different words
9. use pipecleaners to form words
10. each day put a popcorn word on the refrigerator and when your child
wants a snack or a drink, say "Tell me the password!"
