Announcements
The Rock Projects were wonderful. Everyone worked hard and did a fine job of
putting their information together. We enjoyed seeing everyone's presentations.
Field Trip !!!!!!
Everyone signed a field trip permission slip at registration before school
started, but I will send home another one Monday when we get back just for
good measure. Please sign and return immediately. We are scheduled to go to
the Vulcan Materials rock quarry on Fortson Rd. on Thursday, Dec. 3.
Unfortunately, that also is the Christmas Picture day. They don't do all of
the children's pictures anyway - only those who prepay. If you are planning
on having your child's picture made, please make arrangements for them to be
at school by 8:30. We will try to get all of the third graders in before 9:00
so they can change clothes before we head out for the rock quarry.
There isn't really anything going on that will cause them to get dirty, but we
do get on and off of the bus a couple of times, and they get out at the bottom
of the pit for a little while. I'm sure you would probably rather send some
regular school clothes for the trip.
Parents may not ride the bus, but if anyone is interested in joining us there,
you may drive out and meet us. The entrance is off Smith Rd., even though the
front of the plant faces Fortson Rd.
