Welcome to second grade at Eagle Ridge Academy! My name is Kelly Jordan, and
I am looking forward to a great school year with your child! I earned my
degree in Early Childhood Education at West Georgia College in Carrollton, GA
(also known as The University of West Georgia). I have 18 years of teaching
experience with second and third graders. Second graders are at a wonderful
age of discovery and excitement, and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with
them!
I have been married to my college sweetheart, Greg, for 25 years! We have 3
amazingly wonderful daughters! Our oldest daughter, Kelsey, is 22 and will
graduate from The University of Alabama in December of this year, Allie is 18
and a freshman at The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), and Shelby is 17
and a senior at Northside High School! You can be sure that I will treat your
child with the love and respect that I would expect for my own children.
It is my personal goal to help each child grow and learn to his or her
highest potential while striving to be the best that he or she can be! I
believe in doing things the "more excellent way" and I expect my students to
also strive for excellence. With higher expectations, students will try
harder and ultimately succeed! I believe in creating a positive learning
environment where effort is appreciated, and students are encouraged to ask
questions and take risks.

grade child. By working together as partners in support of your child's
