All About Mrs. Jordan

Welcome to second grade at Eagle Ridge Academy! My name is Kelly Jordan, and
I am looking forward to a great school year with your child! I earned my
degree in Early Childhood Education at West Georgia College in Carrollton, GA
(also known as The University of West Georgia). I have 17 years of teaching
experience with second and third graders. Second graders are at a wonderful
age of discovery and excitement, and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with
them!

I have been married to my college sweetheart, Greg, for 23 years! We have 3
amazingly wonderful daughters! Our oldest daughter, Kelsey, is 20 and in her
third year at The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), Allie is 16 and a
junior at Northside High School, and Shelby is 15 and a sophomore also
attending Northside. You can be sure that I will treat your child with the
love and respect that I would expect for my own children.

It is my personal goal to help each child grow and learn to his or her
highest potential while striving to be the best that he or she can be! I
believe in doing things the "more excellent way" and I expect my students to
also strive for excellence. With higher expectations, students will try
harder and ultimately succeed! I believe in creating a positive learning
environment where effort is appreciated, and students are encouraged to ask
questions and take risks.

I thank you for entrusting me with the tender loving care of your second
grade child. By working together as partners in support of your child's
education, we can make this school year a rewarding and memorable experience
that your child will treasure always!

Mission For The Class

To provide a positive, authentic, and engaging environment where students are
encouraged to ask questions, take risks, discover and try new things while
ultimately achieving at their highest learning potential.
