Discipline

I do expect the children to show respect for their teacher, classmates, and everyone at Eagle Ridge Academy. We will be reviewing the rules listed in my classroom and the students will copy them on paper and sign that these rules have been reviewed. Please go over these with your child this week.

Discipline Plan

For Ms.  Russell’s Class:

Class Rules:

1. Raise your hand.

2. Be kind and polite.

3. Do your best.

4. Keep hands to yourself.

5. Be neat and quiet.

6. Listen carefully.

Consequences:

If a student chooses to break a rule:

First time: Student will be given a warning.

Second time: Student will move his or her clip to yellow on the behavior chart and will spend a part of his or her gym/playground time sitting out. A behavior notice will be sent home for the parent to sign and return the next day. Also, the student will receive a check on his or her weekly folder which will change his or her conduct grade to a “2”!

Third time: Student will have the consequences listed above and immediate parent contact will be made (phone call or e-mail). The student will also move his or her clip to “Red” on the behavior chart, have a check in the weekly behavior folder, and a “1” in conduct for the nine weeks.

Fourth time: Student will be sent to the office for disruptive behavior.

*****If a student is involved in a fight, threatening another student or bullying he or she will be sent directly to the office.
