Students in 2nd-5th grades learn advanced vocabulary each week. After 10
words have been reviewed, we have a test on the spelling, definition, and
usage of the word. Students must make a score of at least an 80 prior to
working on the next word list. Using Vocabulary Cartoon books we all
have fun learning words mnemonically! Neuroscientists report that mnemonic
strategies not only accelerate learning, but they motivate, entertain and
build self esteem!
