Congratulations to the following students who have been selected for the
University of Georgia Middle School Band Festival (Mid-Fest):
Daniel Oliver, James Barefield, Rebecca Smeak, Anna Clay, Tawny Tuccitto,
Katie Bruss, and Matthew McCullough.
6th Grade Band: Students should view the DVD on instrument care and
maintenance. Students should have a combination lock for their band
lockers. Band Handbook forms should be signed and returned to Mrs. White by
Sept. 7. Band uniform shirts have arrived and were distributed in class on
Nov. 3.
7th Grade Band: District Honor Band and All-State Band practice each Monday
and Wednesday afterschool until 4pm. Winter Concert: Monday, Dec. 7 at 7pm
at Evans Middle School. Chair placement tests are taking place in Oct.
Volunteer Pep Band scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17 EMS basketball game from
4:00-5:30. Students who are interested should sign up in the bandroom.

8th Grade Band will be performing at the EMS Veterans Day Assembly on Wed.,
Nov. 11 at 8am. Students will need to wear their band uniform (white band
shirt and khaki pants) to school for the assembly program.
Uniform for all concerts: Band Uniform shirt, khaki pants, dark shoes and
dark socks. No tennis shoes or flip-flops, please.
