January 9- Graphic Organizer on page 190 of textbook, Map Activity on page
202, and Social Studies Skills Practice page 203 (1-8) are due Wednesday
( be aware that all three of these activities were assigned on January 6,
2012 )
January 10- Mondays Homework
**Please be aware that during Tuesdays and Wednesdays Classes we will be
working on four maps- Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, and Brazil. They will be
allowed to take them home on Wednesday to finish completing along with their
assignment slips. They are due January 18, 2012. Please be aware that these
maps are four quiz grades. They are graded separately.
January 11- Academic Achievement Period begins today!( Mornings after
homeroom ) 40 minutes
-Mondays homework is due today- Wednesday
-Work on Your Maps that due Wednesday, January 18, 2012 over Venezuela,
Brazil, Cuba and Mexico
January 12- Finish completing your four maps on Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba and
Brazil.
January 13- Have a great long weekend! -- Study Guides given out for test
next week

January 16-20, 2012
January 16- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday! Student and Teacher Holiday
January 17- Reviewing Study Guide- Study for your test on Wednesday
January 18- Test Day! ( Maps due today -- started in class on Tuesday,
January 10,2012 ) They had all day in class Tuesday and Wednesday to work on
them. They are four separate quiz grades.
They were given a Vocabulary Worksheet to complete after the test. It is
matching. They can find the answers using their CRCT Coach Books.
Also tomorrow we will be taking up items in their notebooks for our Notebook
Checks. This will be our first Notebook Check Grade-Test Grade
January 19- Finish maps (4) if not finished. Also they are compiling their
handouts for their Notebook Check on Friday. It is a test grade.
January 20- Have a great weekend! Reminder of Notebook Check / Maps (4)
January 23-27, 2012
January 23-27- Make sure you have completed and turned in your notebook
check, your maps due January 18 and your study guide for Unit 6. We still
have a good many of you who have neglected to return these items finished.
January 25, 2012- Economic Factors sheet given out today. It is due Friday,
January 27, 2012. We worked on it in class and were told to finish for
homework.
January 26, 2012- Students today recieved their Study Guides for the Unit 7
test on Monday, January 30, 2012. They should finish their Study Guides if
they didn't finish in class.

Reminders: Your Economic Factors sheet is due today! ( Started on Wednesday )

Monday- Study for Map Test on Tuesday
They were given today maps to finish for homework if not finished in class.
They are to be colored, cut and paste.
Tuesday- Map Test today over Canadian provinces and physical features
***We are missing the cut, color and paste maps from quite a few students.
Please remind your student to get these in. They are an easy 100. Also we
gave out a Canadian Worksheet after the Map Test. We have quite a few who
didn't return these worksheets finished and completed. Please ask your
student about these. Have a great day!
