What do you need to register as a new student at EMS?

*** Copy of student's last report card showing entering grade 
level
*** If out-of-state, a copy of the student's birth certificate
*** Proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
*** Copy of guardianship papers, if applicable
*** Name and address of the last school attended by your
student; we will be
requesting records for your student
*** The following health records are required withing 30 days of
registration
- immunization records: must be on State of Georgia form, all
students must
have their 2nd MMR booster shot to attend school and a Varicella
vaccine or
a history of disease on a Georgia form.
- three-point screening (hearing, vision, dental), must be on
State of
Georgia form

How many unexcused absences can a student have per semester?

Only three per semester.

Does Evans Middle School enforce the dress code policy?

Yes, students are checked everyday by homeroom and first period 
teachers.

How many students attend EMS?

Around 885 or more...we're the largest middle school in the 
district.

Will students need to pass the CRCT to be promoted to the next grade level?

Yes, all 8th grade students must pass the reading and math 
section of the
CRCT, to be promoted to the ninth grade. Students must score a
800 or better
on each part and 800 on the math.
