Do students have to keep a notebook?

Yes! An organized notebook is a must! Periodically you will
have a notebook test over the notes in your notebook. The good
news is you get to use your notebook during the test. An
organized notebook usually means a 100 on the test! :)

Every Monday, a new QUESTION OF THE WEEK will be on the board.

What if a student hates to read and/or write?

In life there are many things that we hate to do, and for some of
you reading and writing may be one of them. However, you still
have to do it and do it the best you can! I will not accept,"I
don't like to read/write," as an excuse. Remember...the more you
practice anything the better you become.
You are all capable of being the BEST!!! :)

Is LATE WORK accepted??

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! There is no reason (except if you are absent)
not to have your work in on time. I give ample amount of time in
class to finish assignments. Projects that are to be worked on
at home are spread out to allow you plenty of time to work on
it. Remember....I am trying to get you
ready for high school and your future. (Don't wait until the
last minute to
do an assignment; it will catch up with you!)
However, if you are absent and it is excused, the work is due the
day you
return. It is YOUR responsibility to turn it in. I will NOT ask
for it!

Yes! If you do what is expected in my class, you will be very
successful in your Language Arts/English classes in high school.
