I live just across the river in South Carolina with my husband, Chris, and
our dogs, Louie, T.C., and James, all rescues from local shelters. Chris is
a professional golf caddie on the PGA Nationwide Tour. I was an competitive
equestrian most of my life, and hold an A.C.E. Personal Trainer certification
and also teach Turbo Kick, a cardio kickboxing fitness class. Finally, as you
can see from the picture above, my dogs are a large part of my life. I am an
adoption counselor at the CSRA Humane Society.
This is my 8th year teaching at Evans Middle School, and is my 9th year
teaching in general. I am originally from Ohio, and graduated with my B.A.
in English from The Ohio State University in 1993, my M. Ed. in Middle
School Education in 2002 from Ohio University, and my Ed. Sp. degree in
Teaching and Learning from Augusta State in 2009. I am licensed to
teach Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies.
