I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology, a Master's degree and Specialist's
degree in Science Education. I received all of my degrees from UGA. I also
have my National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Science. I taught
Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Harlem High School for 8 years. This will
be my 9th year teaching at Evans Middle School.
This year we will continue incorporating the Georgia Performance Standards.

standards emphasize learning the content through scientific investigations
and projects. The standards also emphasize a “less is more” theme. Instead
of students learning a lot of objectives, as in the old QCCs, they should
learn fewer objectives in greater depth.
