Ms. Rich serves as the counselor for our Sixth Grade and 7A and 7B students.
Ms. Riffle serves as the counselor for 7C and the eighth grade.
The developmental guidance program in Columbia County Middle Schools
addresses the needs of middle school students by stressing academic
achievement, decision-making, and personal/social development. This
proactive and developmental program emphasizes the development of a healthy
self-concept and a respect for the feelings of others.
The purpose of counseling program in a school setting is to promote and
enhance the learning process. To that end, the School Counseling Program
facilitates student development in three broad areas: Academic Development,
Career Development, and Personal/Social Development.
