25 BOOK STANDARD Reading fluency is part of the 4th grade standards. Students are expected to read 25 books this year. We will be tracking this progress in the classroom, and encouraging students to read from a variety of genres, such as non-fiction, biography, mystery, and historical fiction. Each student is expected to complete a graphic organizer after reading each book. Books up to 100 pages will count as one book. Those containing 101-300 will count as two books. Any book over 300 pages will count as three books. All students meeting this expectation will be invited to a meal with their teachers at a local restaurant at the end of the year.
