I was born and raised in Cobb County. I grew up in Smyrna and
attended the same middle school(Griffin Middle School)as the actress Julia
Roberts. My favorite thing to do growing up was playing softball which I
began at eight years old and continued past high school.
I live in Powder Springs with my wonderful husband of nineteen
years, Jera, and two precious children, Jana (15) and Jake (14). My
daughter, Jana, is now a sophmore at Kennesaw Mountain High School. She was
accepted into the Magnet Program of Math, Science and Technology and hopes
to one day work as a Marine Biologist for the Georgia Aquarium. She keeps us
busy with basketball, cross country and track. My son, Jake, is in ninth
grade at Harrison High School, and he keeps us extremely busy with football
and baseball. He has a goal to play for college and the NFL one day. If the
NFL does not work out, Jake would like to be an Engineer like his dad or a
Pharmacist.
My family and I enjoy going to Lake Oconee for fun. My favorite
activity is to get on the water with our wave runners first thing in the
morning and ride the crystal smooth waters before anyone else is around.
My mission is to create a passion for learning by nurturing, guiding
and challenging all students in a risk-free environment. I will be
diligent, caring, understanding and supportive and provide opportunities for
success. Students will be actively engaged in lessons that are fun and
applicable to life while becoming critical thinkers and problem solvers.
Students will become respectful, responsible, productive citizens with a
zest for learning new things.
