Dear Parents,
Sorry about all the emails, but my brain is on overload since I will be out starting next week.
I am sending home your child's AR report for the month of October so you can see how they are
doing so far. Please sign them and return them. They still have 2 more weeks to meet their
goal of 5 books passed at 80% or higher. Please talk with your child about how they are doing.
I am also sending home a field trip reminder letter. Report cards will go home on Friday and I
am including your child's computation record so you can review how they are progressing on their
facts. You don't have to return that. Have a great day.

Parents,
As you know, my due date is quickly approaching. After my doctor's appointment yesterday, they
decided to induce me on Monday, the 20th. So that means that Friday will be my last day. Mrs.
Amos will start on Monday and will stay until Christmas Break. I will return from maternity
leave after the Christmas break in January. Mrs. Amos and I have met many times and have gone
over routines, learning objectives, and she will be right on track with what I've been doing. I
also have a fantastic team of 3rd grade teachers that will be planning with her each week. Mrs.
Amos will be on the Field Trip on Friday to be with the class so the class can again become more
familiar with her. I will be on the Field Trip too unless something happens before then.
Although I will be out on leave, I will be checking my email often and will be communicating
with Mrs. Amos on a weekly basis. She is a fantastic teacher and your children couldn't be in
better hands. It is difficult to come in and take over a class, so I ask for your patience and
understanding as Mrs. Amos becomes adjusted. She will be upating my webpage and sending
Newsflashes as I have done, so you will continue to receive weekly communication about classroom
learning and reminders. She should be getting a Cobb County email address so you can email her
questions during this time, but until then you will need to send notes in the GO binder. Thank
you so much for being such an awsome class. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Correction to the homework packet. For some reason I put a couple of extra spelling sheets in
the back of the homework packet. I didn't mean to do that. They are the two sheets before the
math bonus sheet. Your child IS NOT required to do those last two spelling sheets. One
says "Word Meaning" pg 42 and the other is a spelling list sheet pg. 40. You can throw those
out. Or if you want to drive your child crazy you can have them do it. :0) Sorry about any
confusion. It's the pregnancy brain taking over.
