Reading Focus Board
This board displays our Essential
Question for reading for the
grading period. I try to put up
vocabulary words that are
important. We discuss this board
many times during the week to
check
for understanding. |
Our Wonderful Wall
On this wall, I display student
work. The morning Mountain
Language Review is also there for
the students to use. I also have
my spelling centers in the red
organizer pockets. We use these
often to practice our words. |

|
Mountain Math
Mountain Math reviews and
practices the same skills all
year. This really gets them ready
for the CRCT! |
Our Book Corner
Students can choose a variety of
books to read from our book
corner. They are categorized by
subject, genre, series, or
author. You can also see the
Writer's Corner on the wall. This
is where we keep our ideas for
writing handy. |

Songs
We sing a lot during the day! I
have many songs that help the
students connect to what they are
learning. They love it. |
Rug Time Learning!
When I want to introduce a new
skill or read a book, the students
sit on the rug in front of me. It
brings them closer to me when I
really need them to focus. |

Guided Reading Table
During Guided Reading I work with
small groups of children on their
instructional reading level. I
also use this time to review any
skills they may not have gotten
during the previous day. I keep
pencils, highlighters, frequency
word flip books, and more handy
for use. |
Computers
Yeah! We finally have four
computers. Students take AR
tests, use my webpage for academic
practice, do the Mastery Club and
more! |
