Hi, I am so excited to be your child's ESOL or EIP Teacher. I am a Cobb
County native so it is exciting for me to give back to my community by
teaching the future leaders of America.
I live in Powder Springs, GA with my wonderful husband and two awesome
children (ages 18 & 17). This is my 15th year of teaching. All of my
experience is in first grade, except for my second year of teaching when I
looped up with my first class. After teaching two years at Clay, I moved to
Frey Elementary. I earned my Master's Degree in Reading & Literacy from
Walden University in 2007, and I obtained the ESOL Endorsement in 2006. I use
the acquired knowledge to help each child succeed and reach their full
potential. When I am not teaching, making lesson plans or grading papers, I
enjoy reading, swimming, riding wave runners, and relaxing in the hammock at
Lake Oconee.
My mission is to create a passion for learning by nurturing, guiding and
challenging all students in a risk-free environment. I will be diligent,
caring, understanding and supportive and provide opportunities for success.
Students will be actively engaged in lessons that are fun and applicable to
life while becoming critical thinkers and problem solvers. Students will
become respectful, responsible, productive citizens with a zest for learning
new things.
