When do signed papers come home?

Signed papers will go home each week unless an emergency arises. 
Please remember that the signed paper folder sheet needs to be
signed each Thursday and returned on Friday with the papers
inside. These papers will be sent home to you at the end of each
nine week period.

How much homework should I expect for my child to complete each evening?

The GBE/CCBOE handbook states that the time limit for homework as 
45 and 60 minutes daily. All of this time may not be spent on
written activities. Students should review material covered,
practice basic math facts, and read, read, read!!

How is homework assessed?

Homework is assessed by the teacher for completion each day and 
is checked by the student for accuracy. It is viewed as practice
which is essential to the student’s success with content material.

What do I do if my child has to be absent?

1.  Send in a note or email detailing the reason for absence 
(This is very important.)

2. Students should ASK the teachers for make-up work. Remeber
that it the child's responsibility to ask about the work within
three days. The student has five days to submit the assignments.

3. Remember we are trying to instill responsiblility in your
child. These make-up work guidelines are from the GBE/CCBOE
handbook.

What do I do if my child is tardy?

The tardy bell rings at 8:30.  If your student arrives later that 
that time then he/she is considered tardy. Parents/guardians must
sign in tardy student.

What do I do if I have a question for Mrs. Williams?

Email is the best form of communication.  However, you may send 
in a note or call to leave a voicemail message. Who knows maybe
your question will end up here on the FAQ section.
