Should my child be using his/her planner daily?

Yes.  Your child should be copying his/her homework daily in their planner. 
Mrs. Parrish and I both put the homework on the board daily for the students
to copy.  If you notice your child has a blank planner page for the entire
week, please send me an e-mail.  I will gladly talk to your child about this
problem.

When do Signed Papers go home?

Signed Papers go home every Thursday.  Please make sure you look at the
behavior and homework comments. This will tell you if there are any problems
with behavior/homework during the week.  Please also sign under the parent
signature and send back the folder and papers to school.  I will return the
papers to you at the end of the nine weeks for your keeping.

What are PAW parties?

PAW parties are a small reward for having good behavior and doing your
homework.  We celebrate them every 20 days.  Our PAW parties usually consist
of a small snack,drink and extra recess time.  If you have more than 5 sign
ins for behavior or have not had your homework for 3 or more days, you cannot
participate in the PAW party.  Please note we start over every 20 days so
everyone gets a clean slate and a chance to earn the reward.

Do I need to send an excuse when my child is absent?

Yes.  Please be sure to send in a parent or doctor note stating the date and
reason your child was absent.  This is extremely important for our record
keeping.
