My child has a food allergy. What should I do?

Please inform both the school nurse and me IMMEDIATELY. She will 
have you fill out a health plan and keep an Epi pen in her office 
if necessary.

My child is going to miss school or has missed school. Can s/he make up his/ her work?

When a child is absent,for whatever reason, I will save all of 
his written work. When your child returns to school it will be 
placed in his folder for you to complete at home together. 
Please return it within one week.  Work is not given in advance 
of an absence even if it is excused.

If I send a note ahead of time can you have my child waiting for me in the office when I arrive to pick him up for a medical appointment?

No, when you arrive the office staff will call down to the 
classroom for your child. Please allow plenty of time becuase if 
we are in a special or at recess it may take quite a bit of time 
to get your child to the office.  We are not set up to have 
children wait for appointments.

Only if you invite EVERY student, girl and boy to the party.

You may bring cupcakes to lunch. Meet the class IN THE LUNCHROOM 
at lunchtime.

Can my child dress up for Halloween at school?

We do not celebrate "Halloween" at school. We have fall learning 
centers.The room mom sends out an email asking which parents 
would like to participate by running a group. Children do not 
"dress up" at school. They may however, wear Halloween t-shirts 
during October if you so choose.

We do not have a party. We have instructional winter learning 
centers.  The room mom sends out an email asking which parents 
would like to participate by running a group.

We have a kindergarten "Paticipation" program for all students.

What should my child wear to the Kindergarten Ceremony.?

Anything you choose. They must be neat & look nice.
