Old news
This message pertains to students who are missing assignments.
All students with missing work have been given extra copies of the work they need to complete.
Most students were nonchalant about missing work, some were concerned. There were not any good
excuses for not having the work complete. One of the students was out sick and missed a week of
school and still turned in all of his work, so that tells me there should be no reason the other
students can't get the work done. I am surprised that so many students had missing class work
considering I have not given any written homework once this year. Parents, please pass along
this message to my students- if you are not finished with your class work and you have an M for
a grade, then you need to complete the class work for homework.
I understand students work at different rates and learn at different levels- that is why I am
not a stickler about due dates. On the other hand, I don't want the students to become so
unconcerned about getting assignments turned in that they just put it off. This will only make
things harder when they have missing assignments and start to feel overwhelmed.
I also offer tutoring after school until 3:30 on most days, so please send your child if needed.
Rock Quiz Thursday and Friday. Please study your notes or use the ppt. found on my
study aids and worksheets page.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Grades are updated on i-parent. There are some very high
averages and some very low averages. If your child's average falls on the low side, please do
not be alarmed. There could be many reasons for this... 1. They may not have mastered the
material. 2. They have not turned something in for some reason 3. I may have made a mistake with
their grade (that can happen).
I am offering some extra help this week for students who are not doing well or need to stay
after to get their work done. Students may come for extra help Monday-Thursday. Please have
rides out front by 3:30.

may also rewrite your lab for a better grade, but this is optional.
