NAME:
Mrs. Burdette
SCHOOL:
Greenbrier Middle School
CLASS:
8th Grade Literature
I grew up in St. Petersburg, Fl and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1989. I
live with my four children, husband and three dogs here in Evans. We've
lived in several states. We moved from Kansas to Georgia in 2004. I'm a
graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College, Langston University, Mississippi
State University and most recently Northwestern State University of
Louisiana. I completed an Educational Specialist Degree from NSULA this
summer. I am highly qualified to teach Early Childhood; Elementary
Education; Middle Grades Science, Math and Language Arts; and High School
English.
I am a lifelong learner and enjoy seeking out learning opportunities for
myself each summer. I was a Kansas Starbase Instructor during the summer of
2003; a NOAA Teacher at Sea in 2004; completed a field study of San
Salavador Island in the Bahamas in 2005; and this summer I was a delegation
leader with the People to People Program. We traveled to New Zealand and
Australia.
I make it my mission to bring my lifelong learning experiences into my
classroom. My personal mission is to inspire my students to want to learn
more about themselves, the world and the opportunities education can provide
them.
