Hello Everyone! Welcome! This is my ninth year teaching at Greenbrier
Middle. I have been here since the school opened. I am a graduate of
Georgia Southern University where I received a bachelor of science degree in
Communication Arts in 1988. In 1994, I earned a Master of Education degree
from Augusta State University in Middle Grades Education, and in 2006, I
completed my Education Specialist degree at ASU in Teaching and Learning.
This is my seventeenth year teaching, and I have taught sixth grade, seventh
grade, eigth grade and kindergarten. I love being a teacher, and I really
love it when kids are excited about learning!
I have two daughters, Aubri and Joli. Aubri is fifteen, and Joli is eleven.
They both attend Columbia County schools. Aubri is a tenth grader at Evans
High School, and Joli is in sixth grade right here at Greenbrier Middle. We
have a chocolate lab named Shayla and two kittens, Moo and Paris.
In Georgia Studies this year, we will be learning about all aspects of
Georgia: geography, history, culture, famous people and places, etc. But
don't expect to use your textbook all the time! We'll be learning in many
different and exciting ways.
