Writing Class Grading System

Please note a change to the syllabus related to grade weights.  The 
nine-weeks exam accounts for 15% of the total grade in writing class.  
Students will receive a study guide, and the first exam is scheduled for 
October 10th.  

Writing Projects = 30%
  *Detailed rubrics will be used to assess writing projects

Tests and Quizzes = 30%
  *Grammar
  *Usage
  *Mechanics
  *Spelling

Daily Assignments = 25%
  *Homework
  *Classwork
  *Participation

Nine-Weeks Exam = 15%
