About The Teacher

Patricia Anne Butler has been employed with the Richmond County/Columbia 
County Public School Systems since 1990.  Murphey Middle, Hephzibah Middle, 
and Greenbrier Middle are the schools she has taught Science, Ga. History, 
Reading, Writing and Language Arts.  She, her husband, Richard; and children 
have lived in Evans since 1973. Their three children: David, Sharon, and 
Scott attended BelAir Elementary, Evans Middle, and graduated from Evans 
High School. God has blessed her family with three children and their 
spouses: David Butler(Columbia County Fireman at Engine Co. #2, plays 
bagpipes)wife Kelley Butler(Special Ed. Teacher at Grovetown Elementary); 
Sharon Butler Reining(Regal Cinema manager at Town Center Mall in Atlanta)
husband Alvin Reining(Night supervisor for Kendell in Atlanta);and Scott 
Butler(Policeman in Franklin,Tenn.)wife Mia Butler(works for FEMA for the 
state of Tenn.). Also,five grandchildren keep her hopping:Bonnie Butler(age 
11),Benjamin Butler(age 8), Alexander Reining(age 10),Jordan Ashleigh Reining
(age 4),and William Butler(age 3). Patricia (Patsy for short) enjoys 
knitting, tatting, spinning on a spinning wheel, reading, sewing, and 
camping. 

Received B.A. degree in Social Studies/Edu. from University of South 
Carolina-1989 and Master of Arts in Edu. Degree-May 5,05.

Received B.A. degree in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology-
Beacon University, Columbus, GA and Augusta, GA-August,2000
Received Master of Theology degree from Christian Life School of Theology-
Beacon University, Columbus, GA and Augusta, GA-August 11,2002

Mission For The Class

I enjoy science!  I want this passion to be contagious to 
my students! Science is all around us, we just cannot get away from it.  
Science involves everything we do all day long and we need to learn how to 
work with it in our everyday life.  When we learn how science works, then we 
can make it work for our good.
