What will my class be studying this year in 7th grade social studies?

Geography,Africa, Asia and the Pacific (Australia and some islands), Medieval 
Times to 
Today which includes: The Byzantine and Muslim Empires, Civilizations of 
Africa, The Ancient Americas, and a spotlight on some civilizations in Asia), 
and lastly Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt and Nubia, Ancient India, and 
Ancient China.

How do you grade?

50% of the final grade will be based on daily grades ( what is done and
collected in class for a grade. Not all daily work is graded. Quizzes will
count for 30% and the final exam for the nine weeks counts 20%. Any country
projects done will count as two test grades.

Will there be any projects?

Yes, there will be country projects done during the year. I plan on two for 
now ( one on a country in Asia and one on a country in Africa) and each will 
count for two test grades.
