Hello!Welcome to my webpage! My name is Keia Medlock, and I am your child's
teacher. I am so excited about teaching Kindergarten!I am delighted that I
am teaching at such a wonderful school as Johnson. This is my fifth year
here.I received my bachelor's and master's degree in early childhood
education from Columbus State University.I am currently working on my
specialist degree in early childhood at CSU,and I am getting my reading
endorsement. We have a great staff here at Johnson, and all the teachers are
very committed to teaching each child. We all work very well together. It is
a joy to have your child in my class this year. I am looking forward to a fun
filled and productive year with your child. Each and every child in my
classroom is very important to me. If you ever have any questions or
concerns, feel free to contact me through phone, note, or e-mail. I like to
keep the lines of communication open at all times. I have two children. My
son is ten and my daughter is six. Both of them attend Johnson Elementary. We
have a puppy named Coco.I enjoy reading, cooking, collecting recipes, and
watching old movies. Some of my favorite authors are Sidney Sheldon, John
Grisham, James Patterson, Danielle Steel, Tami Hoag and Mary Higgins Clark. I
love being a teacher and a mom.My husband's name is Earl, and we have been
married for 11 years. My paraprofessional's name is Theresa Culpepper. She is
a wonderful person and a great asset to our class. She is a very caring and
hardworking individual, and our class would not run the same without her.
My goal for the class is to create a positive learning experience for all my
students. We learn and have fun at the same time! Every child is different
and may learn in a different way. My goal is to teach in a way that I can
meet all of my student's different learning styles.I want to collaborate with
each and every parent to ensure academic sucess for every student. Let's join
forces and impact your child's life together.
