Please read to your child as much as possible. I read at least
five books to the children daily and they love every minute of it. Reading to
your child will improve listening skills, build vocabulary, and help your
child have a positive attitude towards reading. The more you read to your
child, the more he/she will get excited about reading and become a successful
reader. I have made a list of some books that were a big hit with me and my
students over the years. I will add to this list often. You can check these
books out at the public library or your child may wish to check a certain book
out from our library here at Johnson. If you know of a good book you think
should be on this list, let me know and I will read it to the children and add
it to this list.
