This is my 17th year teaching high school English and my 8th
year here at KMHS. I earned my bachelor's degree at Berry College in
Rome, Georgia, and I earned a Master's degree at KSU. I am also certified to
teach AP English Literature and am certified to serve as a teacher mentor. I
also just completed a certificate in Gifted Education at Valdosta State
University.
I have two sons, ages 8 and 10. I am an avid reader and enjoy just about any
book (with the exception of science fiction and horror). My favorite sound
in the world is children laughing, and my guilty pleasures include tacky
reality TV and Twizzlers.
My two great loves are literature and helping kids explore the power of
language. I consider myself very lucky to be able to combine both of them
every day.
For British Literature and for Advanced Composition, our mission is
to broaden our literary horizons and to learn to look at literature, writing,
and humanity in new
ways.
