Mrs. Collier was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She moved to the Atlanta area
when she was nine and has enjoyed the rest of her life here. She earned a
Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from West Georgia
University in Carrollton, Georgia. She earned a Masters of Education degree
from Oglethorpe and West Georgia University. She has taught in Wilkinson,
Fulton, and Cobb Counties in the state of Georgia. She has taught
Kindergarten through fifth grades. She has also taught Chapter I Reading,
Language Arts, and Math and EIP Reading and Math. She has been Teacher of the
Year two times in her professional career, once in Fulton County and once in
Cobb County. She has been at Keheley since 1988. Mrs. Collier is married and
has two children, a son and a daughter. Her favorite subjects are Reading and
Math. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, boating, sewing and
decorating, baking, walking her Scottie dog and getting together with family
and friends.
The mission for my second grade classes is to learn mentally as well as
physically, socially, and emotionally. While putting our best foot forward, we
will learn to the best of our ability without hurting or bullying others
around us.
