This is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten at Kennesaw. I love
kindergarten because I get to see the students grow and learn so much. I
feel kindergarten is an important year to build a strong foundation based in
a love of learning.
I am a graduate of Georgia State University. Intailly going to college I had
no plans of being a teacher! I was a professional ballet dancer for 4 years
on top of going to school full time and eventually graduating with a degree
in Speech. My final year of getting my degree in speech, I taught preschool
and was a nanny. When I graduated I decided I was not finished and went back
to Georgia State to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education! I now know
I ended up in the right place! I will begin my masters in Early Childhood
this summer. I love to learn and just can't stay away! On several occasions
I have even thought about going back to law school!
I grew up in Georgia attending DeKalb county schools. My family still
resides in Stone Mountain so I enjoy spending time with them. I especially
enjoy the job of aunt. I have two precious nieces, Brooke (3) and Lauren (1)
I just can't get enough! Otherwise, I still dance, love to read and
travel!
