Is there a homework assignment every night?

The only time we do not have homework is usually on test day.
Occasionally we will have an assignment on the day of a test, but
there are very few times when there is not a homework assignment.
The weekly calendar is posted and includes all assignments.

Is homework graded?

Homework is graded at my discretion. I can check it at any time
and for accuracy or completion. Every student needs to be
prepared for class every day and this includes having the
previous night's homework assignment complete. Students should
keep their assignments in their notebook in case decide to check
something from a previous day.

What do I need to do if I have to be absent from class?

Since all students can access the calendar from the computer they
are encouraged to check the assignment that was given on the day
they missed. If they need to come in after school for help with
the explanation of the material please see me to set up a time.
If you miss a quiz or test you must bring an excused note to me
and set up a time for a make-up. Students are not allowed to
make up a quiz or test without an excused admit.

What is the best way to get in touch with Ms Travitz?

Email is the best way to communicate. My email address is

will get back to you within 24 hours. If you must call, my
number is 678-594-8190 ext 486. I check my voice mail most days
and return calls at my earliest convenience, but it is difficult
to get to the phone some days, so use email if at all possible.
