What if I am absent on the day an assignment (ie: lab report) is due?

If you have an excused absence on the day an assignment is due,
your work must be turned in at the beginning of the next class you attend.
Please note that projects are due "no later than" a specific date
and students are encouraged to turn projects in prior to this date. Accordingly,
being absent on the day a project is due will result in a grade of
"0" (if the project has not been turned in).

What is the procedure for Test Corrections in AP Psychology?

AP Psychology
Test Correction Policy
***In order to be eligible to participate in Test Corrections
students must have been present on the day of the exam AND have
turned in accompanying vocabulary prior to the test.

1. Students will have a maximum of 3 school days after
grades have been posted (or after all students have been tested)
to come in and review their scantrons. (Check website for exact
start date)
2. Unless otherwise announced, test correction sessions will
be held from approximately 7:30-8:00 am.
3. Scantron and test must be checked out with Dr. J and may
NOT leave the room under any circumstances.
4. Scantron and test MUST be checked back in with Dr. J
before leaving the room.
5. Students are reminded that, as all questions are pulled
from a national database, the content of questions and answers is
NOT up for debate.
6. For questions that students answered incorrectly:
Students will write out the complete question followed by the
complete correct answer.
7. Students will then justify/explain why the answer is
correct.
8. Students will also reference their explanation to a
specific page in the text book. Please hi-lite this reference
(or circle it so that it is easily detectable on your paper.)
9. Students will neatly complete this assignment on lined loose leaf paper,
staple any pages together, and submit it in the "psychology vocab in box".
10. Students who complete this assignment within the
time frame will earn approximately ½ the credit added to their
original test grade.
11. The “test correction” option is NOT available for the
final examination.
12. Students are reminded that Test Corrections are a
privilege and not an obligation on the part of the instructor.
13. This is a handwritten assignment; please use your best penmanship.

What is the format for AP Psychology vocabulary?

1. AP Psychology vocab must be completed in a separate
composition notebook.
2. The first page in the vocabulary notebook must be a Table of
Contents page for the preface and each of the 18 chapters in the book.
3. Vocabulary must be done for each chapter as well as the
preface; each chapter must start on a fresh page (with the first word for that
chapter numbered "1").
4. The vocab word must be on a separate line with the definition
(either copied from the text OR paraphrased in your own words) beginning
directly underneath the word.
5. Students may opt to write on the front and back of each page
OR just the front of each page.
6. Corresponding vocab must be turned in PRIOR to the
accompanying exam(students must have turned in their vocabulary prior to an exam
date to be eligible for test corrections privileges, even if they have an
excused absence on the day of a test).
