Because we have over 250 kids in our band program, we have so many needs, when it comes to instruments that are considered too expensive for parents to rent. Those instruments would be Tubas, Baritones, Double French Horns, Bassoons, Chimes and Oboes. Of the instruments listed, the instrument that we need now…today…right now, are TWO TUBAS!! The tuba is the most important instrument in the band because the lower the pitch the more important the sound. In order to achieve a “characteristic sound” you must have a strong tuba section! Now, tubas are too expensive for parent to rent, as they usually rent for around $90.00 per month. I pray we can make this happen for our band program.
