The Panther Battalion is working in conjuction with Three Guys Entertinment to host a company party for the Reeves Construction Company on Saturday, 10 October. The event is held at Wildwood Park in Appling, GA (Clarks Hill) and runs from 9- 3pm. The bus departs LHS at 8:00am, please be here by 7:45. Wear your JROTC T-shirt, closed-toed shoes and khaki or Blue Jean pants, capris or shorts.With the weather changing, I recommend wearing a jacket as well. Shorts MUST BE BELOW THE FINGERTIPS or cadet won't be allowed to participate.We will set up and run facepainting, game, and popcorn booths. We will also set up and monitor the giant inflatables. All cadets are fed by the company. We should return to LHS by 5pm. Cadets earn +10 merits and 20 JROTC rewards. Please remember to be on your best behavior.

The Tutoring Program is under way. It's nver too late to get some help. If you want tutoring, meet at the JROTC portable on Tue/Thu at 3pm.

The Panther BN has a new tutoring program. Our 1st meeting is Friday, 18 Sep 09 at 3pm. There we will match the cadets voluntering to tutor with the cadets to be tutored. Please take advantage of this program. Cadets will be rewarded based on the margin of improvement. For example:

F to D = +10 merits

F to C = +10 merits & 1 Free Uniform Wear

F to B = +10 merits, 1 Free Uniform Wear & Ribbon

Welcome Back Panther Battalion Cadets. You are 138 strong. 2009-2010 promises to be a wonderful year. Just check out our schedule at the "Panther BN Events" tab for all of the exciting events planned. Please get involved in as much as you can. Our cadet leadership is sure to made a positive impact on the battalion. The Battalion Commander is Kyle Dobson(Also the Raider team Commander), while the Sergeant Major is Eboni Walls. The Company Commanders are Jonathan Echavez (LEGION Drill Team Commander),John McKinnon, and Joseph Davis (LEGION Color Guard Commander). Our first event was a trip to the Carowinds Amusement Park on Saturday, 22 Augusta. We took 40 eager cadets and 22 of them were brand new cadets.  Again Welcome back. Stay on top of academics to enjoy the fun events also.
