What is the mission of Army JROTC?
To motivate young people to become better citizens.
If I join JROTC do I have to join the military?
No!! If you do choose to join the military and you spent three years in
JROTC, you will go in as a Private First Class (E-3), which is two ranks
higher than a Private and is on a higher pay scale. Private (E-1) is the
rank and pay scale where the vast majority of other soldiers start.
Why should you join JROTC?
It will challenge you both physically and mentally in ways that other
programs won't and you will have fun doing it. Not only will you be
learning about leadership, communication, and physical fitness principles,
but you will also be placed in leadership roles where you will apply these
techniques and teach and mentor younger cadets.
Do I have to wear a uniform?
Yes. Each Wednesday cadets are required to wear the uniform for inspections
and it is a part of their grade. There are also a couple of special events
that we conduct during the year that require cadets to wear the uniform as
well.
What are the 7 core values of JROTC?
Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal
Courage.
