I have a B.S. in Business Administration from Troy University and a M.S. in
Middle Grades Education from Columbus State University. I recently
transferred from teaching middle school math and I am VERY excited about
teaching business and computer science classes at Lakeside. Prior to
teaching, I had a career in business and hope to bring many of those
experiences to the classroom to benefit students.
I am not the only member of my family at Lakeside - my husband teaches JROTC
and my son, Gavin, is a senior. My daughter, Alyse, is attending college
studying occupational therapy and next year my youngest son, Collin, will be
a freshman at LHS. Finally, I have three wonderful dogs -
Buddy, Hunter and Skippy! In my free time I love to travel and experience
new places.
We will explore our curriculum in a very "real world" manner - using guest
speakers, technology, case studies and more! In addition, career
exploration will be a focus in each class throughout the school year.
